Conditions of Membership
Library membership is free and open to all Queensland residents. Sign up and collect your library card from your nearest Mackay Regional Council Libraries branch.
Conditions of Library Membership and Privacy/Disclaimer
- Identification and proof of current residential address is required. Alternative membership options are available for visitors, temporary residents, non-residents, and individuals experiencing homelessness.
- If you are under 15 your parent or guardian is required to accept conditions of library membership and accept responsibility for your library membership including items accessed or borrowed.
- Your library card is required to use library services. Download the Mackay Libraries app for a digital version of your library card.
- You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card. Items that are lost, damaged, or long overdue are subject to replacement charges which are not refundable.
- Items must be returned on or before the due date, unless renewed.
- Replacement charges will automatically apply for items long overdue.
- Your membership may be debarred if you have outstanding charges or overdue items.
- You must report lost or stolen library cards to Mackay Regional Council Libraries and notify of any changes to contact details.

eCard - Conditions of Library Membership
An eCard is a digital membership for residents 18 and over of the Mackay region wishing to only access Online Library collections. Sign up and confirm your residential address via email to activate your membership.
